The Fractal Design Scape appears like a gaming headset from the long run, which makes it the very best factor I've examined in 2035. I imply, this yr
I check so many gaming headsets over the course of a yr, it is easy to begin mixing them into one. In any case, the essential archetype for a superb one is just about sorted at this level—a snug headband, two earcups, a microphone, and a fantastic set of drivers. I assumed I could not actually be stunned by a brand new mannequin, however the Fractal Design Scape modified all that for me in 2025.
The Scape is a lesson in refinement. For a begin, it is received a grown-up chassis design. No garish color schemes right here, only a flat black, matte end with some delicate, recessed RGB lighting. The controls really feel reassuringly effectively designed, too. Every clunks and clicks with a constructive motion, with not an inexpensive materials to be discovered.
Talking of supplies, the Scape’s earcups and interior headband are coated in a luxurious, couch-like cloth that manages to be heat and cossetting, but additionally breathable sufficient to forestall a case of the dreaded sweaty ears.
Plus, the microphone arm is each detachable and flip-to-mute, which feels prefer it must be the usual going ahead. The Scape is a category act, stuffed with design options that really feel… effectively, truly designed, fairly than strewn throughout the body in a haphazard style.

The very best bit, although, is the charging stand. It is a flattened, pill-shaped throne that takes up little or no room in your desk, with two fabric-covered ovals protruding from the highest. Push the headset within the common course of its plinth, and a mild magnetic power sucks it into place—the place it then tops itself up because of the magic of Qi wi-fi charging tech.
It appears like a small factor, would not it? In any case, there are different headsets in the marketplace with charging docks. However of all of the fashions I’ve examined, that is the one that truly encourages me to maintain my headphones charged by means of sheer ease of use.
There is not any clunky socket mechanism to deal with, nor an unsightly plastic body to mangle into my setup. It is such an intuitive piece of design, magnetically thunking the set into its holder shortly turns into a reflex motion.
The place do you retain your gaming headset while you’re not carrying it? For many of you, I wager it is often strewn untidily in your desktop. Maybe it sits atop your tower, partially blocking some vents. Or, for the extra conscientiously-minded of you, maybe you have purchased a little bit headset hook.
With the Scape, there is no want. The throne begs for use, and consequently, your headset is all the time charged and able to go the second you sit down for a session.
After all, all of this could be for naught if the Scape sounded terrible. Fortunately, nonetheless, it is received a set of drivers that I can fortunately take heed to for hours at a time. It is tuned in the direction of the impartial straight from the field, however Fractal’s software program offers straightforward EQ changes that basically permit the audio high quality to shine.
It is received an in depth, polished high quality to the treble that makes footstep listening a delight, whereas the low-end can grow to be surprisingly hefty with a little bit push. It sounds premium, is one of the best ways I can describe it. Confident. Punchy, with out being overblown.

The Scape is not excellent, thoughts. The microphone high quality is common, there is no noise cancelling to be discovered, and the material earpads tend to rustle for a second or two while you first put them on. Oh, and it is expensive. $200 for a gaming headset with no ANC is a little bit of a stretch, there is no denying it.
However truthfully, I feel it is price each penny. I’ve received some very costly planar magnetic units in my assortment: massive, magnesium-chassied beastie bois which can be able to some actually astounding audio high quality. I get them out every now and then, simply to remind myself what the very best headphone driver tech is able to today.
Then I put them away once more, and return to the Scape. It is simply so refined, so handy, really easy to stay with, that it is the one you need to come residence to on the finish of the day. And let’s be trustworthy, I am unable to praise it extra extremely than that.
