PC Gamer {Hardware} Awards: The most effective graphics card of 2025

I at all times love a brand new GPU 12 months. When an entire new technology of graphics playing cards goes to drop, it energises the whole PC gaming {hardware} trade; persons are going to improve, new laptops will arrive, and corporations will refresh their whole PC lineups. It is massive. Which is why it was an actual disgrace that the launches of each AMD and Nvidia GPUs this 12 months had been such a nightmare. Points with drivers, {hardware}, and above all, pricing and availability made it arduous to benefit from the thrill of recent gaming tech.

the RAMpocalypse to strike and push costs up on something that has any little little bit of reminiscence inside it. Trace: meaning every little thing.

No matter, the graphics playing cards of 2025 nonetheless signify one of the best of AMD and Nvidia’s respective architectures, and if you’d like the best GPUs, these are they. And it has been nice to see AMD truly taking the combat to Nvidia correctly, being aggressive on each pricing and specs, and at last aggressive on each ray tracing and, with the new FSR Redstone replace, their new machine studying based mostly upscaling know-how.

The Radeon RX 9070 XT is not making a play for the highest of the stack, ultra-enthusiast phase, however the entire RX 9000-series exhibits AMD specializing in the place most players spend their money, within the mid-range.

That is most evident within the Radeon RX 9060 XT, which adopted it. That is probably the most reasonably priced card if you actually need 16 GB VRAM, and delivers spectacular 1440p gaming efficiency for the cash.

Then we’ve got the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, once more not the highest of the GPU stack, however an impressively performant graphics card that may actually take an overclock after which nearly make an RTX 5080 look foolish.
