Soundcore Nebula P1 Transportable Projector Removable Audio system

Soundcore confirmed as much as MWC 2026 with a projector that solves one of the crucial persistent annoyances in transportable residence theater: the audio state of affairs. We received fast fingers on the Nebula P1 on the present ground, and the removable speaker idea works precisely the way in which you’d hope it does. The Nebula P1 is a 1080p transportable projector with a pair of 10-watt audio system that bodily detach from the unit and hold engaged on their very own battery for as much as 20 hours. It’s a genuinely intelligent trick that no person else has shipped but.

The “world’s first” declare on the field refers to that removable speaker system particularly. Most transportable projectors both accept tinny built-in drivers or ask you to pair a separate Bluetooth speaker each single time. Soundcore, which operates beneath Anker’s umbrella, went a unique route. The 2 audio system magnetically connect to the P1 and create a 2.0 stereo setup throughout film evening. Pop them off when the credit roll they usually develop into standalone Bluetooth audio system with their very own rechargeable batteries. That’s two merchandise in a single housing, and the transition between modes is solely mechanical.

The Projection Facet

On the imaging entrance, the Nebula P1 pushes 650 ANSI lumens via a lens at 1080p Full HD decision. That’s sufficient to fill a wall as much as 180 inches in a dimmed room, although anybody anticipating a daylight-visible image at that dimension ought to recalibrate. A built-in dual-arm gimbal tilts 130 levels, which implies you don’t want a wonderfully stage floor to get a straight picture. Actual-time autofocus and automated keystone correction deal with the remainder of the alignment, so the setup course of shouldn’t contain ten minutes of guide twiddling with tiny dials.

Dolby Audio processing handles the sound output when the audio system are docked, delivering 20 watts whole throughout the stereo pair. There’s HDMI connectivity round again for a gaming console or streaming stick. An built-in carry deal with rounds out the portability angle, giving the P1 yet one more factor most projectors on this class don’t trouble with.

Google TV With out the Workarounds

The software program state of affairs deserves its personal part as a result of Soundcore really received it proper. The Nebula P1 runs Google TV with official app help for Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube out of the field. Which may sound like a baseline expectation, however anybody who’s owned a finances projector is aware of the frustration of sideloading apps or discovering that Netflix merely gained’t work. The P1 skips all of that. It’s a plug-in-and-stream expertise from the primary boot, which removes the only largest friction level most consumers hit with competing merchandise on this class.

The Energy Query

There’s one notable caveat value realizing about upfront. The Nebula P1 doesn’t have a built-in battery for the projector itself. The audio system run independently on battery energy for these 20 hours of standalone use, however the projector unit wants a wall outlet or exterior energy supply to operate. Soundcore provides a bundle choice with the Anker SOLIX C300 DC Transportable Energy Station for anybody who desires a very transportable outside cinema setup, although that provides price and weight to the package deal. Runtime on that exterior battery is available in round 3.5 hours, which covers one film and alter.

It’s an sincere tradeoff. Constructing a battery into the projector would have elevated the load, the scale, and virtually definitely the value. For front room and bed room use, the wall plug gained’t matter in any respect. For yard film nights, the facility station bundle exists for precisely that state of affairs.

Pricing and the Household Image

The Nebula P1 carries a retail value of $799. An early chook deal knocks $80 off and features a free projector display screen valued at $169, which softens the launch price significantly. The P1 sits in a unique bracket than the P1i, its sibling mannequin that debuted at CES 2026 for $369. The P1i makes use of adjustable fold-out audio system fairly than absolutely removable ones and prices lower than half as a lot, so the 2 fashions aren’t actually competing with one another. They’re overlaying totally different value factors in the identical product household.

Towards the broader market, the Xgimi MoGo 4 at $499 might be the closest competitor within the transportable projector area, although it doesn’t supply something resembling the removable speaker system. The P1 is positioned at a premium for that particular innovation, and the worth proposition comes down as to if the modular audio flexibility adjustments how somebody would really use the factor everyday.

What Comes Subsequent

Soundcore is positioning the Nebula P1 as greater than a projector at MWC 2026. It’s a modular leisure system that breaks aside once you want it to. The removable audio system aren’t only a line merchandise on the spec sheet. They modify how and the place you utilize the product after the projector powers down. No one else is providing that choice proper now, and at $799 with the early chook low cost and bundled display screen, Soundcore is betting that the flexibleness sells itself.
